The 2026 Candidate Nomination Filing Period for City Council candidates begins Monday, July 13, 2026, and closes Friday, August 7, 2026. An extended filing period through August 12, 2026, may apply to non-incumbent candidates if an incumbent does not file.
The Tulare County Registrar of Voters has implemented a new candidate filing process for the 2026 General Election. All City Council candidates are required to complete two in-person appointments with the Tulare County Registrar of Voters to complete the nomination process.
