The City of Exeter’s Complete Streets with ADA Compliance and Active Transportation Safety Enhancement Plan (Plan) is intended to identify strategies to increase the use of active modes of transportation, such as biking, walking, and the use of transit. The Plan includes a summary of existing conditions affecting active transportation use, recommendations for infrastructure improvements and prioritization, and cost estimates for those improvements. The Plan will guide the vision and development of the future bicycle, pedestrian, and transit facilities, including a proposed bicycle and pedestrian network; suggestions for new bus stop locations and improvements for existing bus stops and locations where ADA compliance is needed; and Safe Routes to School (SR2S) safety improvements. The network has been planned considering existing and planned land use patterns, historical collision and safety data, environmental equity, transit stops, routes, and school sites.
